Office managers and executive assistants: the company's wine, all year round

New Year wishes in January, back-to-work drinks, three leaving drinks, the annual party, client gifts and staff gifts in December: it is often the same person who orders everything, between two other jobs. Tick what your company does; the calendar gives, for each event, the order deadline and a rough number of bottles. You can then add the dates to your calendar.

Your company's wine calendar

Nothing is sent: the calculation happens on the page. The quantities are orders of magnitude; each event has its own page with the exact calculation.

Three habits that make the year easier

  • One grouped order in early November. Client gifts, staff gifts, the December party, the children's Christmas party and even the January New Year wishes: one order, one delivery, one invoice, placed before carriers are swamped. The festive season page gives the dates that matter: gifts before 20 November, receptions before 5 December.
  • A small stock for unplanned drinks. Two or three cases of easy white and red, kept cool in a temperate room, cover leaving drinks announced on Monday for Friday.
  • The same wine from one time to the next. A wine that went down well at the annual party can serve for the New Year wishes; you reorder it without another tasting. Ask for the name and vintage on the quote, and keep it.

The invoice is in the company's name, with VAT. What can and cannot be recovered (gifts above €73 incl. VAT per recipient per year, receptions) is on the VAT on wine page; your accountant can also use the business gifts simulator.

Each event, in detail

Each page has its own calculator, set for the event: number of guests, length, share of champagne, budget.

Can we have a single contact for all the year's events?

Yes: send the calendar above with the quote request. Transvins prices the upcoming events, and you reorder the next ones with a simple message quoting the previous quote.

Should all the year's wine be ordered at once?

No. One order per season is usually enough: one in November for December and January, one in June for the return to work, and a small stock for leaving drinks. Ordering for twelve months ties up cash and space, for white wine that keeps less well than people think in a heated office.

How far ahead should you order?

Two to three weeks in normal times. In November and December, allow twice that: client gifts before 20 November, December receptions before the 5th. If the company closes in August, the back-to-work drinks are ordered before the holidays.

Can the wine be delivered to the office?

Yes, to the address of your choice, on the days and opening hours you give. Shipping costs depend on the number of bottles and the destination: the delivery rates give the order of magnitude, the quote gives the exact price.

And for drinks for six people?

A local wine shop near the office will do very well, the same day. A wine merchant is useful when orders add up: several events, gifts, dozens of bottles.
