Wine for a rented villa on the Côte d'Azur: the week's cellar, there before you
A villa on Cap d'Antibes, in the hills above Cannes or in Mougins, ten people, seven nights, friends dropping by for dinner. What the tool assumes
A third of a bottle per adult per day at the quiet pace, 0.4 on holiday, a half at party pace; half a bottle per guest on dinner evenings. From May to September, rosé and white make up more than half the cellar and champagne a fifth; out of season, red takes first place again. The rosé comes from Bordeaux, or from Provence on request.
- No margin beyond the case. Unopened cases are not taken back. If you are three bottles short on Friday, the shop in Vallauris is about a quarter of an hour from Antibes and Cannes, Tuesday to Saturday.
- Someone receives it. The agency, the concierge service, the caretaker or the owner: their name and phone number go in the request. The lead time and price of delivery to the villa are in the reply to the quote.
- The heat. A villa shut up in summer heats up fast; the cases go somewhere cool, not in the pool house or a south-facing garage.

How many bottles for a week in a villa for ten?
About thirty at holiday pace: ten adults, seven days, 0.4 bottles a day, so five cases of six. In summer: two of rosé, one of white, one of red, one of champagne. A dinner with six guests adds three bottles, so a sixth case.
Can you have the wine delivered to the villa before we arrive?
Yes, on quote, if someone is there to receive it. Give their name, phone number and the arrival date in the request; the reply confirms the lead time and the price.
Where can you buy wine on a Sunday near Antibes or Cannes?
Not at Le Paradis du Vin, which is closed on Sundays and Mondays. If you arrive on a Sunday, have it delivered beforehand, or plan a visit on the Saturday.
Is wine left over at the end of the stay taken back?
No, unopened cases are not taken back. The tool rounds up to the case without adding anything; what is left goes home with you, or stays to welcome the next guests if the agency agrees.
