A tasting
In Bordeaux, at the wine merchant's premises, or with samples sent to the couple. Three or four options for each moment of the day, not a whole cellar to wade through.
The right quantities

A quote within 48 h
Wines named, vintages, prices incl. VAT, shipping costs. The couple knows what they are paying, you know what you are presenting.
Delivered to the venue
Estate, hall, marquee, in mainland France, in the week of the wedding. Someone on site to take delivery, and it is done.
Two ways of working together
Neither is imposed. They are discussed at the first exchange, and can differ from one wedding to the next.
Net prices, you re-invoice
You buy at trade prices and include the wine in your service, with the margin you think is fair. The couple sees one line on your quote, not two suppliers.
Referral fee
The couple is invoiced directly by the wine merchant, and your introduction is paid for. The terms are agreed together, in writing, before the first wedding.
What we tell you frankly
Bordeaux is our core business. We also have champagne, a short selection from Burgundy, the Rhône and the Loire, and crémant on request. A couple who want a Provence rosé will go elsewhere, and they will be right to. What Bordeaux does well, on the other hand, is cover every price level within a single region, from the meal wine to the classified growth, with old vintages in stock when the couple want the year they met on the table.
Unopened cases are not taken back. So quantities are calculated tightly, and we would rather make a second delivery than leave useless stock. With the caterer
If the wedding caterer handles service, they can place the order themselves or simply take delivery. The page wine for caterers describes how that works on their side, including who is invoiced. Nothing forces a choice between you and them: whoever has the relationship with the couple holds the quote.

Is there a charge for the tasting?
The terms are set out with the quote: a tasting on site in Bordeaux and sending samples don't cost the same. What is certain is that a couple ordering a hundred or so bottles doesn't pay full price for their tasting.
Can I present the calculator to my couples under my own name?
You can use it with them, in a meeting or on a video call, and send the result with the quote request. It names no brand and locks nothing. It isn't white-label: the wine merchant's name appears at the quote stage, not before.
How long before the wedding should you order?
Tasting three months before, firm order six weeks before, delivery in the week of the wedding. A shorter lead time is possible on wines in stock, but without the tasting.
What happens if the couple cancels?
An order that hasn't been shipped can be cancelled; an order that has been delivered isn't taken back. That is why the firm order is placed six weeks before, not six months before.
